Did you hear about the Kimberley Roadtrip?
At Seed, we know how essential it is for communities experiencing the impacts of the climate crisis to be leading the fight, which is why we’re prioritising conversations with communities in the Kimberley. Earlier this year, we embarked on a trip across the East and West Kimberley to meet with mob on the frontlines of extractive industries and climate impacts.
Across two weeks we travelled to Broome, Derby, Fitzroy Crossing, Kununurra, and Wyndham. We spoke to local radio stations, organisations, and community members about the climate impacts they’re already experiencing and sharing information about the risks of fracking and the corporations who plan to frack and profit off, their country.

- Our Impact
Grassroots Network
We are building a movement for climate justice led by and for First Nations young people, together with impacted communities, to win campaigns that protect our country, culture, and the climate. Through this work, we shift power away from the fossil fuel industry, back to communities who are leading the solutions on the frontlines.
We do this by building up young First Nations leaders through transformative training programs and mentoring support for our grassroots network of volunteers, ensuring that they have the knowledge, confidence, connections, and skills needed to create change in their communities. - Resources
What is Fracking?

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are already on the frontlines of climate change, enduring rising seas, habitat loss, extreme heat, floods, and bushfires. What is Climate Justice?
Climate change is an environmental and social justice issue, with its impacts disproportionately affecting those who contribute the least to the problem. Meanwhile, those profiting from emissions face little consequence.
Climate justice aims to address this imbalance through education, raising awareness, and holding those in power accountable. We do this in order to prevent the inevitable destruction of our completely unique and irreplaceable ecosystem. So we can leave our children and all future generations of Australians a country in which they can flourish and be proud to call home.
